CD almost done but then what?

Hey guys. I know this is kind of off topic...
I've almost finished a full CD of trance tracks, what are the steps I need to take to start gigging?
I've never played any venues as a DJ before. |

why not record a mix and put it online, or meet the people that organize events and put a cd in their hand...

Yes, go to a show and talk to the people who are putting it on. Give them a demo and see if they'd be interested in having you play.

That sounds good. I live in MI though, and I'm not really into the psytrance scene here. I don't know where i can look up where raves are held and stuff like that.
How can I get in on the whole scene here?
Should i just wait until DEMF? The big electronic music festival in Detroit? |

Use the interent man, get hooked with people via myspace, isratrance etc, there are literally 1000`s of places you can find to promotoe your music.

Dude, you're in Michigan??? Hook up with the Chilluminati crew and some of the cats that do stuff in MN... The Chilluminati forum would be a great place to start at....

Yes greg (mubali) is right, I live in Iowa (Psyowa) and thats not too far from you along with a bunch of other great psytrancers ( http://www.mindoutpsyde.com ). Also the Chilliminati Crew is in Chicago and they do some of the best events in that area

And there are the Audio Gnomes in Wisconsin

All these people do psytrance events. The U.S. is just small pockets of psytrance everywhere, infecting it from the innards. 
Midwest U.S. psytrance at it's best
