hey there lads... I've got a new question. hopefully someone is able to help ^^
I'm searching for an utility that allows me to limit cc values. Lemme explain:
If I automate eg a filter of a vst with my midi controller, I want to limit the lower and upper limit of the cc (let's say from 20 - 105 from total 128 steps)
Additionally I'm eager to find a solution to automate the cc with a different shape (response curve). For example not with a linear transition.
I'd like to use the plugin in cubase/nuendo, as these hosts don't offer a solution as far as I know. Fruity does, ext does, jeskola buzz does... zeta vst does aswell... can anyone recommend a solution?
I've found this payware, but I hope there's a free vst that does the job.

yeah, it seems like you can sort of do this in cubase only when you are setting up something to control in cubase itself. because there's a 'Max. Value' parameter in the Generic Controller set up.
the only thing i can think of is bome's midi translator. it's not exactly an optimal solution for you. and i don't remember their pricing model, so maybe the feature that can help you is not available in the free version. but the whole idea behind this tool is to capture incoming midi data and translate it into other midi data, keyboard presses, mouse clicks, etc. and i know there's a section where you can actually input math formulas for your desired transformations.
either way, it's a great tool and you can find many uses for it outside of this. it's great to use it with a foot controller and ableton to do hands-off recording/looping/jamming.

hmm..extremely easy in Live, but I'm not sure with Cubase..
