Catawampus feeding the whimsy of catawampii
Catawampus Records the vehicle label of deeply underground and boundary expanding Psy-Trance producers. Created to push the quirks, funks and deeply soul entangling fimbriae of this musical genre, beyond Psy and into real Psychedelia.
Strangely Obtuse (WAMP001) the first official release on Catawampus Records.
Nine delicious tracks, where Skyhighatrist and Galactic Monkey wriggle and twist you into a high dose tryptamine experience exploring the monkey/human hybridization project…. That is Strangely Obtuse!

As we are approaching the release of wampus001 
our eyes are looking towards the next releases, and the wonderful opportunity for us to hopefully promote/release some of the tracks from our collective's producers.
If you would like to be part of this adventure, please send us tracks which you think best represent your music.
The tracks need to be unreleased elsewhere and you need to not send it/them on to anyone else whilst the track is under consideration with us. Tracks need to be sent to us as a 320k/bit mp3 via sendspace or a cd .wav by post.(email for addy)
We are collecting for the next album until the end of january.Then we will compile a VA from the amassed tracks.
We plan to initially put out one VA of twisty nightime goodness, and another VA of random oddness and eclectic chilled beats.
so really we can cover quite a lot of bases with that remit.
If your track is chosen we will then ask for an unmastered 24bit wav version which will then be mastered for the compilation.
Unfortunately we are not in a position at present to pay for any tracks we are offered, but we will be producing a stunning high quality product, with worldwide and digital distribution which will offer excellent promotional opportunities for you. At this time any money received will be used to finance the cost of this and future releases.
