Heyho friends 
I thought it would be nice to have an "unofficial" thread where we can talk about our selections and give credit to those who almost made it onto the list without spamming in the official thread for voting only. We can also use it to bring up speculation on the eventual winners or whatever else.
Also post your "biggest dissapointment 2006/worst of 2006" if you like
Carbon based lifeforms! What an amazing album..it has been my good night soundtrack ever since I got it. Too bad there is no seperate vote for best chill-out.
Quasar one my vote for best album because I consider it the best home listening this year..diverse sound, the coolest samples all packed into a coherent, flowing concept.
Mubali-Cats at play and CPC-double bouble came close though.
Biggest dissapointments -
Fungus Funk - F people: What the hell happened there? 
Psy Nina - What a sad, disgraceful story....
(But a legendary thread muhahaha...)

the trend is definnitely darkpsy again in 2006 , and like happened with fullon in 2002 when it was the trend (astrix , atomic pulse albums ) , a slew a clones followed and ruined (or greatly diluted ) the wonderfull thing called fullon .. i see the same happening here .. too many bad , low quality , ill produced , assembly line `dark` labels and artists now .. time for a new direction ? lets hope so ..
some really nice stuff also this year in all genres ,
mantrix , shiva 2000 , o.o.o.d , tron , koxbox etc (psy) , liquid soul , triac , fuzzion etc (prog/tech) .. and in darkpsy .. the usual suspects .. parvati records was nice with naked tourist and psy stories 2 , phreex network and tantrumm records impressed with amazing high quality compilations

The good: Sensient,Triac, Ace Ventura, Perfect Stranger, Prosect/Sonify, OOOD, Reefer Decree, Bufo, Tetrameth, Human Blue, Vibrasphere, Iboga/Flow
The bad: Pleiadians, Dark Psy, Full-on, Prog-on
The ugly: PsyNina, Safi Connection, Shady Israeli party organisers

There were many good releases this year. I reckon it's the best year psy wise of the millennium this far. However there was also a record number of sucky mediocre and awful shit releases. Twisted wasn't too impressive this year either. Not that many good parties in Finland this year. UP was my only festival. Also I can't be arsed to visit Isratrance that often anymore.. don't know. This place has become rather boring in my eyes.. but it's all good. "The dinosaurs became extinct because they didn't have a space program."

What was your favorite set you played this year?
Could be either a festival, party or in your room alone or with friends.
The set that most defined how you felt in that moment or that sums up who your were this year.

Of course there is good full-on but Protoculture is not on the list.
Prog On is the kind of slowed down full-on that some might mistaken for progressive but it's really not. Full-on at 135 BPM is still full-on.

Well, the fact that we did not have too many good full on releases this year it show how hard is to find good full on music nowadays and I am with Pavel saying that we get really nice Prog On music and promising artists in this year such as: Headroom, Prahlad, Visua, Side-A (Not new but he did nice stuff in this year).
Wonderful: Human Blue, Sensient, Trentemoller Tristan, Eat Static, Ace Ventura, Laughing Buddha, Cosmosis, Liquid Soul, Aphid Moon and so on . .
Horrible to forget: Few mexicans promoters, Safi Connection (Spliff Music), Psynina, Crystal Matrix (They didn't pay to me a track) and Safi Connection again
Super Disappointing: GBU - Wanted and the lack of good line up of artists in the Mexican Parties.
Exciting: New fresh proggy talents in Mexico & Solstice/NANO/Iboga/Flow/Mikrokosmos

Good: Quasar - One day, Entropy - Purple people, The Commercial Hippies . if you can´t stand the heat and few more
