There is an effect i've been trying to create for a some time now, but I can't really come up with anything satisfying. I'm talking about the distorted filter like effect thats sometimes on the kick and base, like in this song @ 1:00
or @ 5:17 in this song:
I'd really appreciate it if you could help my, THX!

I want to create the effect that is on the bassline, the one that makes it sound distorted. Maybe you can hear it more clearly in the intro in this track:

i guess it's just a heavy distortion and a low-cut on the bass. try "d16 phoscyon" vst (tb303 clone) it has a VERY NICE distortion unit.
then low-cut your bass!
i think this will solve your "problem".

Hrm, maybe a bit of bit reduction/bit crushing?
or maybe a bit of distortion?
try using a bit crusher or saturation/distortion as a send and then automate it rising and falling, see if you get anything you like
another kind of standard trick used in kind of the same way is to use a bandpass filter and drag it across the bassline then turn the filter off

I said I like it dirty, not muddy.

this is a heavy distortion, an automated band pass filter and maybe a limiter.
