Hi friends!
I am considering to look for a good place in my area to take private piano lessons.
As i love music like anything i feel the need to uderstand it in a clearer way, in order to express my feelings trough it. At the time this expression is only possible in a limited way, as my music theory knowledge doesn't enable me to do more and free what wants to come out..
I have had guitar lessons years ago and have some music theory knowlege but not enough..
With piano lessons i expect:
To gain a clearer understanding about Harmony, Melody, Rythm and Structure..
How to create my chord progressions.
How to create harmonic melodies.
How to work with counter melodies.
How to create my bass lines in a creative and fitting way without them being exactly like the melodies..
And all the rest....
I love music man, i study sound engineering and a i am becoming more technical than anything else.
What do u think ??

Go for it. You remember me, but the difference is that i never had any instrument class before. You had guitar classes so you might have a little knowledge about how music works. I m not taking keyboard lessons yet, first i m trying to learn for my own, with the internet, and I bought a book about music theory that i think will help me a lot (still in the beggining) than when i learn the basics I m thinkin in taking some keyboard classes. I just dont want to start taking classes without knowing anything.
If you want my advice do the same. The internt has a LOT of stuff about keyboard, music theory, in this forum if you search theres a lot of stuff about it also. Start trying to learn by yourself then you think about keyboard classes.

I have done for the last months my friend, you should see how many papers i have lying around the house with scales, chords, everything..
I am getting deeply involved in music in general, just started listening to alot of classical music, jazz, blues etc.. i was so stupid, years ago i tought music was just trance and technno....lolol
I still love trance alot and this is the main reason why i wanna lear piano seriously,
So maybe, who knows i can contribute to keep the goa spirit alive. lol
But yeah, wanna be able to write other styles as well, something that i am starting to do now, but i am not quite there yet..
Oh yeah, and with a good music knowlege if i can't produce something i really like, i then chosse another style, if that one doesn't work go to the following one, and like that until i ran out of styles and say: Music is not my thing. Until then, fucckit, do what you like and have a shot.in it??
Oh man, i love that phrase: "Harder the Battle, Sweeter the Victory".. i can fit it into many things in my life..lolol
