Can't upload music to myspace

Firstly, i've tried to get help from the myspace forums and myspace and havn't got any help there.
I'm trying to set up a myspace page but i can't upload tracks to myspace. Most of the time it'll just stay on the connecting screen for ages then say it has timed out after a couple of minutes. Occasionally it will actually start uploading but time out again part way through the upload.
Its really annoying and i'm hoping someone out there has worked out a way around this problem. |

Have you made sure the size of the file which you're uploading is alright? I know I upload my full tracks to MySpace in 96kbit, else it doesn't work for me...

it's 10mb per file...
so you can either reduce quality as Scobbah did, or (better) upload a smaller edit with higher quality. when i say edit i don't mean to remix your track. 
just open soundforge, wavelab et.c choose your favourite warm up point, fade it in and keep it till the 'heavy stuff' end; then fade out  so you'll have a 4-5 minutes track with 256kbps (or even 320) quality

I ended up sorting it out, the connection kept timing out but I kept on trying until it finally worked.
I think i'll take your advice piko and have a smaller edit vs lesser quality. Its amazing how much clarity is lost when compressing down to 128kps mp3 from wav files. |

psilonaut, it takes a while for the track to appear on your actual page because myspace has to log all of the tracks uploaded..give it a few days before you start contacting them.. |
