Can't update my Blofeld

Hi there !
I'm trying to update my Blofeld to 1.02, but it doesn't seems to work : (
What I did is d/l the 1.02 archive on Waldorf's website, extract it, open Cubase, create a new midi track, drag and drop the "blofeld_v1_02.mid" MIDI file on it, select the right MIDI output (which is named "USB Audio Device" in the list) then I hit play.
Nothing happens, nothing shows up on the Blofeld screen (although the MIDI led blinks to show that it is indeed receiving the data)...
I'm a bit lost here, could someone help me ?

I don't own one, but make sure there isn't some sort of write protect on.
Also alot of times synths have to be in some sort of receive mode, so look for something like that.
Other than that, yes contact Waldorf

read the manual..don´t conect it without updating it first..or whatever..
for me it worked fine....
so its just matter of handling..

hi..load the midi file in a sequencer like cubase or logic and slow down the audiotempo to 10bpm..
than it will work fine!!!

I already did this, nothing changed : /
And I tried using a MIDI cable aswell instead, without any results... |

I think the sequencer's speed should be 50-60 BPM

Damn I'm sure that I tried that...
Oh well, I'll try again, just formated my computer yesterday, so I'll start on something clean...
The only thing is that I intend to use Live! , did someone used this sequencer to update its Blofeld/knows if it works ? |

Live is rubbish for sysex.... or at least Live 6 and earlier are.
i couldn't get it to work at all. i ended up using Windows Media Player to send sysex to my virus! |

i don't know how the Blofeld update process works...
but with the virus i simply set the synth to receive sysex messages then played the midi file in WMP (it's silent) and the update takes place. make sure it's all connected ok of course.
i would recommend checking the manual then Waldorf user forums... or contacting tech support, they're good |
