Option 2 is better, BUT it eats at the kick much more then option 1, so definitely use a HP filter on the bass at ~90-100Hz sidechained to the kick. OR boost some frequencies of the kick at around 1KHz to make it punchy.

thanks for the comment.
i did small side chain with the kick and i put eq and compressor on the kick to make it a bit punchier.
i consider 2 options:
or to bypass the DA TUBE that on the bassline, or to use envelope shaper to make it the bassline shorter.
i will upload it tomorow.

I will give it a listen in afew days when I have access to my headphones.

Meanwhile, I will tell you that all this stuff on the kick would USUALLY make it worse because what you do with compression is flattening the frequency spectrum, so you make it sound duller. Try to think about it and you will see (and hear) what I mean.

My advice to you is to use EQ as last resort on the kick and not putting any compressors and stuff like that on it.

The one I like most is "how it is now3" but I think it would gain some clarity attenuating frequencies with a nonlinear equalizer, look here you have 2 examples:

Test 1 no eq's:

Test 2 with eq's:

test 2 is much better than test 1.
which eq did you use? did you raised the low's or did you just cut some frequencies?
if you can give me example for leanar eq and non leanar eq it would be great.

really you can use any kind of equalizer, to me the best is use a parametric eq, (example golden equalizer) you can also try a graphic equalizer for bands, 32 bands take time but you can also get good results. .
what I do is listen to a few seconds and I try to find sounds or "noises" what leftover for my taste, phasing out unwanted frequencies.
Forgive me because before I have not explained well.

plugins I've used in the example are exactly "golden equalizer" and I uploaded a couple of DB's bass and treble with a PSP in the section Vintagewarmer2 eq.

I hope to be of help

"how it is now 3" is the one that sounds the best out of the rest. Although generally I am not very much into the actual bass sound, it is the one that has the better balance.

The kick is letting your bassline down though. Find/make a better one.
