hey guys what's up.i've been reading your writings in the forum for months and i've learned a lot about psytrance music. yet i have some questions and i would be thankful if any of you could enlighten me.i'm not an experienced psytrance listener and wanna hear some really morbid, mind altering tunes. the kind of trance that will rock my body but also bend my mind and make it travel and fall into trance i.e.sleeplike state of mind (metaphorically speaking that is without drughelp). i look for pure energy with twisted interceptions sprinkled all over the tracks! i have some cd's of astral projection, infected mushroom, cosmosis, eraser vs' Yoejalka,Yahel and other Known artists but i'm kinda bored of them n' looking something really new really weird sound. by "new" i don't mean chronologically but something less known and commercial.i'd also like to hear some tracks that are considered landmarks in the scene by you who i'm sure know a great deal about different trends in psytrance.
i don't know if i've made my point but any help from those who got me would be really appreciated!
Thank you very much.

P.s.what's the difference between psy trance and full on?           human mind is a parachute. It works when it is open...

Well man its all about yourself and your believes.
There are a lot of genres in trance music so sooner or later u'll develop your own tase and style.
The most important thing to remeber is that nobody,a label owner,a famous dj or even simon posford...lol... have a better taste than u!.
So take all the tips only as suggestions, after all you're the master...
I think that the true meaning of psychedelic music is that it's without bordes and facts so there isnt actually good and bad,its all about tase.
There is no right or wrong just a big world between them.
Sure there are some better producers than others, but everybody is getting better all the time (well almost everybody )
People are looking for different aspects in the music that they hear, some like hard and strong bass, some likes techno sounds, some like dark atmosphere, some like psychedelic sounds and beat, some likes guitars or classical instruments and some like emontions etc...
If u want to understand the difference between psy and fullon u try to listen to this 2 tracks:
Puro-derango tango
Astrix-scientific reality (rough mix)
thats only an example of 2 tracks I especially like, there are millions more.

Well in order for this not to get reported, lets try to keep the artist we reccomend to japanese artists.

If your looking for japanese artists with mind altering stuff,

dear moderator: i posted my message to the japanese forum because i think that you people have a totally different perspective of psytrance. you're way off the european style -at least that's what i suspect-that i'm so accustomed to (and also bored of). so i keep an open mind and long for hearing some good representative japanese artists. the music may be the same but in the short period i've been listening psytrance, i have noticed that each nation's trance music has many different trends and characteristics. that's why i find european psy more strict, organised and down on earth and scandinavian trance even more dark and gothic whereas mediterranean and israel trance is more uplifting, spiritual that can "travel" you...
so, should one guess that is the sun and cold that affects the artists' mood and creativity and consequently their music style?
and what about japan? i have no f***ing idea about your style. that's why i wanna know your opinions and recommendations of course.

p.s. i don't understand your question Hikari. is there any problem in adresing the japanese forum? or should be a specific reason? you seem to me so different (geographically speaking cause musically i have no clue) and that's why i wanna know more...           human mind is a parachute. It works when it is open...

psyhunterson,
there are just so many posts here that people put up that have nothing to do with japan.
And as a moderator im supposed to straighten things out here.
So its ok if your just addressing the japanese crowd.
Just if you could put it in your first post that you are addressing the japanese people it would be easier for me to know.
Well if you want to know my selection
Deedrah-The first album
Morphem-Monitoring
Tim Schuldt-Album
more.. and more..
