strange

i used FL 5 in a p2 with 128 and usually didn't got bad results from it, only with very heavy tracks

give more details about your setup, i might be able to help you out           roll a joint or STFU :)

man with 128 Gb of ram you're probably safe

Check your buffers/latency, it should be large enough (like 50ms with a normal soundcard). Also check your reverbs and efx. Anyway it is indeed not normal... You should be able to run MUCH more.

but 128Mb of ram isn't quite enough, go for 512 at least, it's cheap these days btw...

dude sytrus is super heavy and demanding lots of cpu and ram!

with 128 of ram its nice to play freecell but not to make tunes get a new pc at least with 512 of ram

or dont open more then 1 sytrus at a time

also check the asio driver FL is using, always use the one that comes with ur soundcard, not the ultracrappy multimedia ASIO driver...

it's sound's wierd...
there is the same problem useing better pc???
my opinion is that your computer suck's but i will recommend you to export all of the midi channel's to wav channel's and use it as an audio instead of midi, the reason for this is that the midi channel take's more CPU then the audio channel....           ================

check asio as suggested, bounce often (don't delete the original midi)

you could try http://www.silverspike.com tapeit 1 (free) or the demo of tapeit2. this tool is very nice and you can bounce more tracks instead of only one. Insert on every track 1 tapeit plugin and bounce for example kick, bassline, leads, beats and so on

if you really want to have more power so you don't have to bounce, buy either a new computer (amd 64 x2 4400+) or fx teleport. http://www.fxteleport.com - With fx teleport and a nice gigabit lan or firewire network you can transmit vsti's and vstfx over your network to any number of computers. Only the computer running the sequencer needs a audio card, preferably a low latency asio card.

This thing is the real shit. I'm running like 6 hq reverbs and some layered vsti's on my gf amd64 via fx teleport with no noticeable latency

I'm really impressed with the results. Have fun

if you can't achieve latencies below 20 ms with your creative soundcard (it will skip and crackle) you could use the kx driver (www.kxproject.com). This driver replaces your creative sounddrivers. I can get latencies of 10 ms with this driver. Keep in mind that it only works for audigy and sb live cards.

It has alot more features for routing and it is alot more convinient/nicer (different skins) in comparison to the creative drivers.

If you get serious with producing music, or you record often, I'd suggest you to look into a better audio card like RME (http://www.rme-audio.com) or M-Audio (http://www.m-audio.com)

But for beginning and jamming it's an okay soundcard. Only the analog/digital convertors on this card are below usual standards.

There are alot of topics about which soundcard to get. But if you got the cash, get an RME
