i think its great peeps behind catawampus, surely they dont wanna rip off anybody... and like said before its simple: you dont like the idea, dont send a track...

All this 5 page discussion, just because of the money.
??
Anybody in here who thinks that in todays psytrance market ANY money can be made from CDSales has no Idea. Sorry.
Money from CD Sales is for the top of the top acts.
Far too few CDs sold nowadays. Making a CD promoted and printed easily costs 2000Euro on its own. If you add the saleries for the tracks you end up with 3000 Euros..
Pay this from your pocket... and there is a high risk you go nowhere even if the music is good, since psyshop and such discriminate any unknown stuff....
If you want money go and make house.
If you want money from PsyTrance you can only do it with live gigs. Most of my music for you to download at:

Last I heard the going salaries were around 200 Euro's per track and around 2200 Euros per whole cd.
Anybody paying you less either does a good deal for himself or has not much of a label, or both.
Nobody said it was any easier for the labels.
And now imagine no artist giving his sound for free. What would happen then?

hey upava we already know u love money....
mickey mouse doesnt like poor children..
and sadly he doesnt like psytrance too...
so no money for us.... unless u convince micky mouse to support psytrance 
and well.. yea i need money too , but i look for jobs to get money ... no psytrance.

second like you I have a real job,
third it is not about the money, it is about giving and receiving in balance.
And that includes money. Unless the label is big enough so I can do live gigs after some releases with them.
Fourth, please give your track to the guy for free, since you are so convinced it is the right thing to do.

It depends on what you buy. Buy new shit (vst's, virus etc.) and loose a third of your money as soon as you walk out the store door...or buy old gear that holds it's value or even raises it over the years (Moog, ARP, SCI and so on).
