Last Saturday I had a really good time at Exchange place Hudson river side with trancers from Jersey City and than yesterday I first time discover that my place is having a good rooftop when few of us were playing some amazing tracks and chilling in open till late.

I am living in Jersey City and I would like to know all psy-trance lovers around Jersey city and near by area (Newark, Hoboken, NNJ ….). Idea is to make a contact list so that we know eachother and than can sometime just meet and chill together (especially no a not so happening weekend), go to parties and festivals together , exchange ideas/music , can help eachother– no formal group, just a thing for goodtime
I got couple of really good psy-trance friends whom I met in PATH / Subway while traveling to / back from party and I think it will be good to know more such like minded people especially living nearby.

If you guys can PM me your email id, I will compile the list and send back. If possible write a little about yourself here and PM me the email id.

Waiting!

Let me start:

Myself
I am Sahil, , living in Journal Square and working at downtown Manhattan.
Originally from India (Mumbai), living in Jersey City since almost 2 yrs.

Trance & NYC scene
My trance age is just 1 year as before that I was busy doing not so good thing (studying/working hard and following all rule of ‘game existence’).
In last one year I might have missed very few big parties in NYC area and now getting ready for outdoor adventures.

Kind of Music
Music vise I like right from morning full on to psy-chillout / ambient - actually it depend upon set (mindset), setting (party / vibe / place) and catalyst (!!!!!!!!).

Something different
All major events/achievements of my life are according to what one astrologer / psychic has predicted. First time I am going on a path that is not my destiny (atleast according to this astrologer)

My question:
How do you guys able balance your professional / materialistic life and social demands with what your really like and what you really want to be?

Sahil
Music fills the air and deep rhythms lock into an irresistable groove. Swept up in the beat, the dancers enter into profound altered states of consciousness, surrendering to the ecstasy of trance. Powerful energies move through their bodies as gateways to the spirit world open and they feel the awesome presence of the sacred.
This demonstrates the integration of the physical, psychological, socio-cultural, symbolic, virtual, ritual, and spiritual levels are all merged into a unified field. There is no separation between music and listeners and dancers, subject and object, mind and feelings and body, physical and spiritual worlds and beings; there is only a seamless multi-dimensional continuum of ecstatic musical experience.
Journey begins now.

Hi. This is M, originally from Macedonia, 4 years in this country, Nergen County-New Jersey to be more exact. I am a college student and I believe in peace and understanding as the only true virtues that can lead us to a better world. I am happy when people around me are happy and I think that my mission is to do good for everyone as much as possible.

I have a lot to say and I hope that we will have a gathering somewhere around the path station in Hoboken. I live only 15 minutes driving from there so I wouldn't mind chilling there as much as possible.

My name is Malcolm, I live in near Journal Square in Jersey City, and I work in Midtown Manhattan. I am orginally from Connecticut and I have been living in Jersey City for over a year now.

I love full on and progressive trance, and I love dancing outdoors in nature.

I have a spot to throw a trance party at in Lincoln Park in Jersey City's west side, my spot is a clearing in the marshland in the western half of the park between route 440 and the hackensack river.

hey Sahil and PATH trancers. my name is toni and i live in fairview, by white caastle for now. originaly from bosnia that i left about 10 years ago. (Whats up Macedonia)
i started going to partys not so long ago. maybe 6, 7 months now and ofcourse i love them. my favorite is Knob in the early morning. you guys know what i mean.
to answer your question about the balance between the materialistic ways of this country and what i would like it to be, i have to say that its either i work the 8 hours and feel enslaved by my boss whos making the money from me doing his dirty work, or i be a bum and walk around the city gathering cans and such. i try my best not to get sucked in the materialistic way of thinking so i share my love and my beleifs with hope that everyone thats like me is doing the same. anyway, im a firm beleiver in karma. i guess my philosophy of life.

it would be really cool if we all could get together and share the fun. Linkoln Park sounds good! lets do it. my cuzin has the equiptment. pcdjs speakers mixer and such, im not so knopwledgable about all the equiptment, but i know his speakers blow skirts off like in comercial hehe. so much for now. peace

Pa ajmo svi Come on people. Let's make things happen. Imagine we make one chill out and it becomes a weekly regular thing. We congregate, we chill, talk, have fun, relax from every day stress...it would be a beautiful thing.
Let's wait for some more people and we could plan this one out.

Finally there are some people in Jersey that
belongs to my clan. Sahil, you did what I wanted to do for
so many months (but have been too lazy to). Anyways I’m san. I’ve been living in Hoboken for sometime now. I am originally from Sri Lanka. I also started a group http://launch.groups.yahoo.com/group/Infected_Jersey/ something similar to http://launch.groups.yahoo.com/group/NYC604/ but never had a chance to maintain it. Let’s get together do something …… I’m down for anything

Hey Daysleeper, do you know of any good venues in Hoboken to have a weekly party at? It sucks in Jersey City because the 2 places you could play in Jersey City uncle joes' and rascals closed down, and LITM (which is pro-electronic music) does not have a caberet liscense, and the 10:30PM business curfew for most businesses in JC makes it impossible. Also, up in West New York, New Jersey the City Council passed a resolution making it illegal to have a DJ or a live band or dancing in ANY establishment that serves food or alcohol.

Hi,
My name's Ishaan and I shall be moving mid August to Newark.

Been into psytrance for about 6-7 years now and never looked back.

My musical choice has matured and changed over the years. I'm more into the Goan sounds, like Electric Universe and Droidlock, Benza etc.. Like a touch of fluff now and again like Protoculture and Tikal. I usually listen to a lot of Asian Massive and Fusion and anything from Sphongle.
Currently I'm bangin to the Optokoppler album which i highly recommend.

i believe that stars do play a role in our lives, but we also have choices and the choices we make , make or break us.

ANSWER : I began reading a lot of spiritually inclined books and its always been a contest between what is 'insignificant' and what I 'want'.
Do my materialistic needs measure upto the divine and cosmic truth ?
But as we all have duties, towards family , loved one's, the poor etc.. we also have duties towards ourselves.
What i really want to do is sustain myself financially first, treat myself, treat my loved one's, treat the less fortunate and than take off.!! take off into the himalaya's like the ancient custom of sanyasis did.
