Call For Help in Dallas Texas

It looks like Dallas Texas has been left out from the trance world. The only places to go is now turned in to rap music. Please bring some good energy trance to Dallas. We all need some as well.

That sucks. Indianapolis is no different, but at least we have some DNB, breaks, and house stuff.
A city as big and beautiful as dallas, one would think it would have a big scene.

ah, there has been and is trance here in dallas. you just have to look for it. try checking out the sgoa tribe on tribe.net or do a search on dallasdancemusic.com

I went to my very first Goa party in Dallas. It was put on by the guys from Astral Tribe. This was in the late 90s. James Meadows played at it, if memory serves.
Are any of those guys still around (I'm pretty sure James is)? The Astral Tribe guys, the guys from Universal Mind (Dave, especially - someone say hi to him for me, won't you - if he doesn't remember me, then tell him Jay/DJ Swarm brought me down with him for that one party that got shut down), etc.
As far as I'm concerned, Dallas has a somewhat rich history in psytrance.
And no, there's no desert anywhere near Dallas (that I know of). |

james is still around (i play with him on thursday) but astral tribe hasn't thrown any parties for quite sometime. not since they all kind of joined universal mind... dave from ump is back in texas after a brief stint in cali, but hasn't started throwing parties again... yet...

Hey Avi, my advise is look somewhere else. I've been here for more than 4 years, and never seen a decent party. There are however, some clubs that play electronic music. Check out the sites already mentioned.

Well, I guess you haven't searched too hard then. In the past four years Texas has had some great parties and some great artists come through. Dallas has been a bit dormant, but they have a club event with psytrance at least once a month it seems. In Austin there are more outdoor parties, and some indoor as well.
