hi!
when ever i use the c1 compressor,
it seems that when i set the threshold and then set the ratio, there is a mediat boost
as maximasation is applyed acourding to the
ratio...
well...why is it doen that way?
how do i use it as a proper compressor with no maximising?...
or...am i missing something?...

not on my c1. I don't think that the c1 has auto makeup gain.           "a new art came into my mind which only you can create, the Art of Noises, the logical consequence of your marvelous innovations." Russolo, 1913

yeah! it probaly it! ratio below 1:1 will expand your signal and will do the opposite than compression.

yes...but the gain is at the ratio setting part...and besides...setting a 1:1 ratio
means, what comes in, level whyze, is what
comes out...so if a 1:1 ratio expands the signal...it probably does it on higher ratios as well...

I just tried it. There is no difference with the volume of the signal as long the ratio is 1:1 or the incoming signal is lower then the trshold            Signature

Ori, are you using the C1-sc? That has make-up gain and in some settings it is automatic. I can't remember the details so you will have to work it out with the manual.
