Is it possible to bypass the usage of external convertors for hardware synths recording without loosing the warmth?
Like passing the signal through my old game boy console
Such a lame question... |

if u want to record it in a digital way, u'll have to convert the analog signal to a digital signal at some point... If u want to use an analogue way of recording (tapes...) u don't need to convert it to digital...
Converters don't lose the warmth (only a tiiiiiiiny little bit), i have 2 analogue synths, and a VERY VERY SUCKY AD converter, and i don't hear a lot of difference... it loses a tiny bit of weight... But with good converters u shouldn't hear a difference at all... |

And how am i supposed to import into the mix with without convert it to digital?
Well, when seting the sequencers input to a non crackin value it sounds really cool on dynaudio bm6a.
My mix in Logic is usually set with the kick playing -10/127.
When i record and import a file normalized to 0db it either sounds like a crap.
Is that the audiophile 24/96 crappy converters?
If upgrading to a 700e+ card like Rme or Motu will improove the signal or will i need also external converter to make me happy? |

man, you got good converters,
you can bypass your synths sucky converters
by recording the audio autput from your synths, threw your audiophiles converters...
besides...bying a motu or an rme card, when recording electronic stuff, isnt going to make any noticeable sound differance when comparing to your audiophinle 96/24. |
