BX-8 \ Samson Resolve 80a Monitors????

I want to buy one of those monitor's and i need your opinion,
what is the best and why?

I got the Samson Resolv65a and i am very happy with them.
They have a very good sound, very flat.
But i don't know resolv80a nor BX-8, so only thing i can say is that Samson is very quality stuff from what i know.

I hope you have a big room because 8" woofer
isn't so good for small rooms.
I work with the BX-5 and their sound is good
but 5" woofer is not enough in my opinion.
Many people told me that 6.5" woofer is perfect for home studios.
My advice to you is to go to the nearest store
and check for yourself what sounds better.

This is definately the LAST time i'm gonna reply on a poll like this (USE THE SEARCH),but here's my vote...
I've listened 2 both monitors, although, not in my own environment...and some other monitors in that price range...
And for me the BX8's sounded better 2 me, and now that i have them, i'm very satisfied...my mixes sounded far better than before...
I think when buying things like monitors, you have 2 listen 2 them yourself,...'cause u are the one that has 2 work with them...bring your favourite cd's...and i mean...production-wise...and take at least 1 hour to check them all out...
Bottom line is....don't go for what other people think...
There's also such thing as...learning your monitors...
I've spend MANY hours listening 2 my favourite cd's on my new monitors...just 2 know how they behave ...

well,
first of all 10x.
now, triac, i have a 3500 nis for the monitors.
and i got 2200 for a new sound card.
if you can help me with those i will be very happy,
btw:
i would like to buy active monitors. |

Thumbs up for the resolv 65a man ! REally good monitors at their price.Mine came with a problem though!One speaker gets 2 hot and eventually shuts down the tweeter grr  But then that's just me and my bad luck... |

I've heard both of these monitors , they both not pretty enough because i find their mix of frequencies messed up , so it is personal. As you see some users here are satisfied with their quality and clearity . I would highly advice you to take any commercial CD that you like to the shops that sell these monitors and listen this CD on them . Things you should listen to are (1)clearity of mix which means how seperated each sound from other is when i found Resolve pretty muddy ,(2) their accoustic abillity which means listen to them from many angles and possitions as you can , (3)look at their details what is their low cut which means lower cut more bass which can make your mixing job horrible sometimes since BX-8 have low cut switch built-in , i would advice them . Write it down on list and go to the next shop .
These are only basics . You should read much more advanced information about monitors comparison online .
Some would say "prise not means quality" or "they are good for their prise" but i find such arguments useless because prise do mean alot in this case since primitive speakers are also good for their prise same as Adam's monitors good for their so as you can see everything is equal .

I don't know if these 100$ matter so much for you but i would go for BX8 because of their more clear mix , low pass switch and cool design(lol , these neon light are so sexy) |

i have the samson passive .. and they are quiet good  i use my own professional amp. and sounds with a god defenition .. with some bass traps on the room .. the sound just match in the sound i whant ....
i have a friend that bought the m audio bx8 .. and he prefer more the sound from my speakers for ex .. than is speakers
but its a mather of tasting first each one before buying

in this price range they are the best solution.
