Hi There,

I have been searching around for the perfect vst's for a while now.

But i think my time has come to spend some money here. Im Going Bankrupt

I only got a few ideas. hope you can help me.

Some vst's i must have:

Spectrasonics Omnisphere
Robpaben Albino 3
East West Quantum Leap Ra

And im Also thinking about Native Instruments Komplete 8

For compressors andeq im going for the URS pack

And i will also need my Audioease Altiverb.
and Voxengo Gliss Eq

What else would i need for my psytrance production?

I think it's more than enough, what would you say. It's also alot of money.

Only thing i can come up with is cronox 2. But is it possible to buy anymore?
And is Spectrasonics Trilian Worth Buying or would it be overkill?

Is all this too much? what is your opinion.
I have been on try before buy. But now i think its about time to buy what i like. I have saved up for this, so i knew the time would come.

Cheers

Hey mate,

good choices you made there, definitely Omni as Synth and Albino. Omni is SO phat and will keep you busy for ages! However Albino is getting somewhat older soundwise yet I still use it often and love it for melodic sounds. An alternative would be Zebra 2 for that, which I use a lot more than Albino.

Ra is a huge Sampler wich should cover your needs and the Eastwest stuff is very good soundwise.

Komplete now would be a complete solution with lots of great synths and fx (you would not have covered with the other synths) and huge sample library for relatively little money.

That said I own and older Komplete and do not use the Synths that often as I do not like the workflow of them.. thats just taste and you have to find out for yourseld. The NI stuff is really good but just does not communicate with me in a nice way.

URS stuff is also a good choice, I can sell you the console strip pro if you want as I have changed to UAD for compressors and eqs completely ;-) PM me if you are interested!

For verbs look into 2C Audioe Aether as well, or SSL X-Verb.

Trillian you do not need really if you have Omnisphere, at least not for Psy bass.. more than enough. If you take Zebra over albino you have another killer Bass machine, one of my favourites actually.

I think its a lot for at once purchase but its a good start. Next thing would be lookin into more complex FX plugs unless you take KOmplete which includes it all basically.           http://www.ektoplazm.com/free-music/stereofeld-frequenzwechsel

Bass question, for me, if you have money Trilian for sure, but Sylenth(more than bass) is great deal too

Diva if you have good CPU

My go would be SugarBytes Turnado,FabFilter Saturn and SoundToys stuff from the <3

...and this thing is on my buy list(i'm these days producing progressive house)

^ That. Komplete is probably the best set out there in value for the money.           Pyrex :: Traveling without moving

soundtoys all plugins , must have for me.

pro Q for go to eq.

elysia alpha plugin would be good to have in your compressor arsenal.

but imo try to buy your plugins second hand or wait for special sales cause they cut price like crazy and you re gonna cry if you pay full price, check kvr market place sometimes there is really good deals.

for komplete you could buy a old one and then update it, or buy one of their plugs secondhand that give you access to crossgrading to the full komplete , it might make you save some money if you go that route

a snow second hand around 500/600 dollars could be a better buy than some plugs if you are after virus sound

This brightened up my day. Hope you'll make a good bargain - you'd probably want to keep an eye on the Market Place over at KVR Audio (it's addictive, though, so please don't tell us we didn't warn you ).

it's a lot of stuff to buy at once. It would be a shame to drop 5000 dollars and find out that you don't use 80% of the things you bought. If you are going to buy omnisphere and albino, you probably dont need to buy komplete...just get battery. I bought komplete 5 and I find that the only things I would really miss is battery and massive. Reaktor is pretty cool as well, but i don't use it all time. Just make sure you think about what you are buying, and dont just spend a bunch of money because you have it.

If you buy omnisphere, be sure to buy the Bob Moog tribute pack. Just a few $ more & it's worth it!           http://www.soundcloud.com/bandarlog

learn what you are buying first. Hardware comes in more useful for performing live. It's always best to focus on just a couple of instruments for learning. Once you know one synth, it will help you understand other ones as well. If you get too much at once, you can slow your learning because you are overwhelmed trying to learn the nuances of each synth all at once.

The Virus C sounds better than the Virus TI Polar I have. Imo, get the Virus C (or B/Classic for even less cash) and save on 2/3 of the Virus TI price. You can get a used Virus C for 500€ nowdays. And apparently there is a sofware editor for the C that you can use via the USB port, just like the TI, except that no audio goes through the USB line and you can't save the Virus patches as a channel strip setting on your DAW. But the fact that the C sounds better and you can get one at 1/3 of the TI price, is well worth it, imo.
There are a few more things in the TI, especially the grain and formant oscillators and the option of modulations you have with them and the new FX (which are OK) but the sub oscillator on the C pisses over the sub oscillator on the TI, the C just sounds more "raw"...like a good hardware digital synth should.

As for sofware, I would go the Omnisphere and NI Complete path. You get an awful lot of good synths/sounds with the Complete package.

Peace out.

Haha so much advise that is all so different..
If you don't mind spending: go and spend.
But I would buy piece for piece. Otherwise you don't have the time to learn it, unless you have already tried them all.
Check out some company bargains. Fabfilter for example has big pricecuts if you buy more software. The more you buy the cheaper it gets. Some other companies might have the same deals.           soundcloud.com/supergroover
