i downloaded the waves tutorial dvds for house, rock and hiphop ,, and more than videos those contain the actual projects for ur sequencer with all the plugins loaded and setup as a guide to why and how they used them that way. it includes a demo of the waves bundle. i am assuming ure talking about the waves trance experience?? if u use Waves a lot and are really new to trance production maybe u will benefit for it. Personally i think is more like advertisement, and since i prefer to use sonalksis, blue tubes, psp and other native bundles i find this forum to be a way more useful guide to a trance experience..

good dvds

steinberg internal mixing
mixing with the pros
ASK video series for ur particular sequencer..
and of course ANDI VAX video .. kicks trances experience assss

Don't get it, its not worth the $$.

Andi Vax's tutorial is much better & its free. Otherwise i agree with piXan on his choice of DVDs.           http://www.soundcloud.com/getafixmusic

Andi Vax's is rad, if a bit difficult to understand.

Maybe they have this DVD set at your library, but I wouldn't count on it. I would look anyway.

I thought it sounded familiar, there is a hardcover book as well, http://www.amazon.com/Trance-Experience-Torsten-Fassbender/dp/0974843849/

I looked for that book for a while, but I didn't find it anywhere. It's kinda expensive, has anyone read it?

I bought the book (+ dvds) quite some time ago, and I don't recommend it.

It's very basic stuff and I it didn't teach me anything important that I hadn't already picked up from isratrance (if you spend time searching this site, you'll find everything you need, trust me)

Even though Andi Vax's tutorial can be a little hard to follow at times, and doesn't go into detail sometimes when you really want him to it still beats this book hands down....

I can doubly recommend this one! It's got some real seriously useful information in it.           ~Airyck~

The Steinberg Internal Mixing and Mastering DVD's rule. The ASK video's too. Also check The art of mixing, it's a little bit outdated, but it's funny and gives a nice perspective on mixing.

i agree with that...it's more like an general overview than an detailed tutorial. And the english it's kind of funny ...very hard to understand. Maybe a subtitle will work better.
