Hi guys
I was wondering if any of you had experiences in buying stuff(software, hardware) overseas...
I mean because the euro is really strong now (compared to dollar) I have seen some stuff very cheap(for example, Cubase 4, in europe costs like 750 euros and on amazon.com 600 dollars circa 400 euro)..but I know there are some taxes issues to consider..
any experiences? |

It's definitely something that a lot of people are doing from what i read without problems.
You need to know beforehand though what the customs taxes and VAT in your country are.
A friend told me once that the biggest mistake we make is that we believe we live, when in reality we are sleeping in the waiting room of life. |

I bought Cubase 4 few months ago on Ebay USA and it worked quite well.
C4 edu version+shipping costs+ customs % (yes, often) = near 400 euro. the half of the real price ^^
for little things like software or racks it's ok, but i think it's more risky with for example big synths or mixers...
