Hello.

I am buying some equipment for my studio and need a keyboard.
Ive been looking on:
M-AUDIO AXIOM 61 ADVANCED
NOVATION REMOTE 61 SL MKII

Which of these could you recommend?.

Or if you have some other recommendation that would be very helpful.

My budget is maximum 430euro
Thank you!.

dont buy the axiom, mine stopped working right after guarantee and it was never outside my room.

the novtion is a good choice i think but i can also recommend the cakewalk A-300 or A-500 (or was it 600?)
Anyway these cakewalk keys feel really great.

Another really rock solid one is the Akai series, it even gots nice features like included arpegiator and is a massive build wich won`t break very fast.           -------......-------...-..-..-..-.-.-.-.-

Thanks for the answer.

which axiom did you have?, i heard the new series is abit more stable.

I was looking at the cakewalk a-800, but i hear aftertouch is really bad on it, could be an interessting function.

are the keys alot better on the cakewalk(than the axiom)??.

I dont know, i have no personal experience, but i read on some forums that the after toutch sensitivity was abit on the low end.

But i just read in a jungle of reviews and oppinions.
So is really hard to make out whats good and not

maybe persoal preference..the keys on the cakewalk are more like on a real hardwre synth like dave smith poly evolver or something like that. Where the keys on the axiom go more in piano direction. Since im no piano player and didn`t learn to play on those keys i prefer the easy going ones like on a synth or a keyboard. this was the main reason why i bought this keyboard.

Too late I guess, but here's what I think anyway.

If you're using Cakewalk software (like sonar) then the cakewalk keyboard is amazing with the ACT feature. I myself own the A-300 (2.5 octave version) and I love it. Aftertouch sucks indeed, you have to almost break it to get any response from it (and that's on the easy curve).

Other than that, I'd recommend novation gear since they got the unbeatable automap feature.
