If you buy an external sequencer, you'll be sorry after that. Trust me.
Use a computer, it is MUCH more powerful, and the software problems are not that bad when you're doing everything right. |

unless u want 2 have an easy job of course ...
it's great fun i must say ...
but if u want 2 realy make your music from scratch it's not what
u need ...
go 2 music shop ...
see the pulsar ....
it's hell lot different and u'll put the money and like it !!!

Pulsar and Luna mentioned before are sound cards. Forget them in the meanwhile, they'll only get you more confused. Go get your synth, learn how to use it and then start thinking about a sound card. |

it is nice you want to spend your hannukah money on hannukah.
but it is only your mental fixation. it is meaningless from the viewpoint of global warming or world economic crisis.
what i suggest you is to wait a little bit. learn some more things about audio/midi, analog/digital, play with somebody else's tools, go to the shops and nag them, and then, after you know what you need and know what to want, with a little bit more money buy it.
by IT i mean synth+HD recording interface or DSPcard or maybe something else.
how to learn ?
simply browse this forum, search for keywords and read the threads, bring them up again if you find something incomprehensible.
if this is not enough read www links you find in threads.
i just don't want you to throw 3500 for a used synth and then getting a pain in the arse trying to sell it at a half price.
think it over, don't rush.

k, i don't want to drag you down ("levaes" you),
but if you have 2 "real" synths (anyway digital) ...
What do you need pulsar for ?
you could buy a great audio card for 2000 shek, and do the same what you anyway will do for the next 1/2 year (learn how to control these 2 beasts)
think: with pulsar you can't even record them both simultaneously in stereo - you have 1 in 1 out... or maybe i am wrong.
on the other hand ... if you will work with pulsar's synths ... why do you need to spend money on Q and Nord ?
better invest in good amp + monitors.
i don't believe that to take over 2 these synths is easier than to take over pulsar's software synths.
YaT ... sometimes to use your head does not hurt.

You cant make make music only with pulsar...
Pulsar is great audio card and it have some great features that i cant find out at hardware or other softwares, but lets take the nord as a an external synth- it have a great analog sound and its so easy to play with .
So if u have the money - get all you can
cuz you have not limits with music so use it!!!

to my (some meaningless) questions...
BUT, I will not go provocative...
I got many information during the last week,
Probably thanx to Mike A.. :-)
Also 3500 is not my budget.. iM more in the place of 10,000... 8)
And i WILL get the virus KB that i have in great deal (7000 NIS) And my friens fixes me Cubase
5.01 with a bunch of plugins that he doesn't use
Anymore... ALSO i am moving Room to my Giant MARTEF..
HopeFully this is the start of my studio...
Not affecting any politicaleconomical CRISIS
or making you ppl nervious and Blaming me
For my QuestionsDisknowledge..
