1,6 Ghz is really low value for that money.Hard disc is small too..
I would go for a centrino 1,6 that speed up like a 3ghz cpu,for less than that money..exept if u really gotta o for a mac but dont buy this machine for sure;) |

I also think it is too expensive. For 1500€ u can get a much more powerful IBM laptop system. I don't know, mabe u only want a Mac but then check ebay for systems like this to compare the prices.

i have the same setup but 80gb hard drive and after about 17 tracks in cubase sx(1) with multiple effects it starts the popping hesitating cant handle the song shit if you can go higher than a gig of ram do it I have also been frustrated with finding plugins plenty for mac but soooo many for pc I think a tottally stripped down pc with no internet would be just as stable as any mac.. or you could just wait for the macs with intel processors then you wont have to decide. hehehe |

Maybe not exactly true, but it is true that a 1.6ghz Mac is not the same as a 1.6ghz Windows machine. I use a 1.5ghz Powerbook and have no troubles with processing power. |
