this is going to be my 1st burn, anybody can help me with information ( i'm already ready the tips from the burnig man.com ) same extras i mean..
what best time to arrive to avoid traffic, where camp ( nearst to trance area ) i dont know just any ideas will be great...

get there as early as you can and camp towards the outer edges, away from 2 and 10 o'clock streets, that way you might get some sleep and actually have some space to stretch you legs come Thursday.
oh and bring a bike and a lock.. ..it's just another party.. |

this will be my first year as well a question about the crowd (from the bring a lock comment).....
Is this more of a free comfortable atmosphere (much like a trance fest) or a wild chaotic atmosphere where youd be wise to watch your back? kind of a broad question. I know it can vary from person to person, im just curious how this fest will vary from all the friendly smiles, blind trust, and laid back nature of a trance fest.

The crowd is very nice and friendly at BM for the most part, and I used to think you never really needed a bike lock... until last year, when i got TWO bikes stolen RIGHT OFF MY CAMP. i thought this was lame as fuck!
now i wouldnt say you have to "watch yr back"... the attitude is generally similar to a trance party... but the increasing number of "tourists" year after year has caused us participants to have to take some extra security measures. |

Like tears said. Bringing a lock won't cost you anything. Many people get fucked up and take a random bike thinking it's theirs for example.
