I am renting out A Warehouse room to make a studio. Dimension is 5x3 m.
I did not really get how to calculate tangent Standing waves..
So just putting diffusers would it take out Standing waves..
Which is the best way to make absorbent wall?
which material should I use to make the studio door? *any links to make the door
How can i calculate Rt 60 just from my computer sound card a "normal mic"?
I have been doing lot of readings on building a studio.. so these are my confusions.

check room eq wizard software its free, buy behringer meassure mic for 50 quit.
dont calculate anything. put your stuff inside and listen to the sound. make meassuring with this software. take waterfall diagramm for example. look for linear sound. if you have any modes you will see there. try to put your monitors some 10 cm from the point they were and make another meassure. every room is good enough to make music trust me.

Best is to search from someone near your circle of friends who actually has any experience with this sort of thing: and try and convince him to stop by and have a look and point you in the right direction.
But there's some information on it online, plus I remember some music tech (I think, otherwise one of the music radar magazines) had an article about DIY acoustic treatment stuff. |
