how ya doin???
i wanna build my own ones...need help on the material for the cabinets n the possible shapes...ahah...n yeh..some not soo costly set of tweets mids n lows...
got like $500(max) to spend...

hmmm building speaker need real knowledge about physics acoustics and to build quality speaker i think it gonna cost you lot more than 500$ hehehe because in fact company like behringer or mackie buy loads of component so everything gonna cost you mayby twice and will be realy expensive if you whant quality specialy woods gonna cost you lots of money
imho if you ask your question here is probably because you do not have the experience needed...
i am in audio since 8 years and i realy doubt i would be able to do it hehehehae 
to much mathematics and stuff !!

...if u haven t already built a pair in the past or know ppl with experience, the 500 $ are better spent on some 0815 monitors...
it really need much much knowledge ( n experiments too ) of physics.
about the house, the frequency-crossover,...
if u wanna build smt your own, do a subwoofer...that s much "easier" to start with...

hello !!
you know for better resoltes try to find some commercial monitor and copy them in terms of cabinet,isolation,crossover and hf & lf drivers.
not make an exact copy just see what they did and try to make your's
but it will cost you more then 500$ to make a deccent speaker of your own study!! study!!
but better to by branded ones to avoid disapointement!! |
