Thanx for everyones replys. My turn to retort. Software vs Hardware-- its a matter of personal prefernce. My issue is I am a musician. Ive played percussion and guitar since i was a child. Its more musical to me if your using more instrumental hands on things versus our studio friend, the computer. Anyone can produce music with software after time, its all mechanics. But can you pick out just any synth and make it sound the way you want? Can you program drum beats on the fly with 3 thousand people in front of you? With hardware its less confusing also. Computers also are large margin for error. Cheaper yes, but one has to decide what they like and think they express best with. I think talamsca is the shit, Musica Divinorum was all software. But i dont get a kick out of watching people click buttons for a show. Give me a dj over that. This is what separates Musicians from producers.
