hello ppl..
we are building a new studio and need some advice..
first of all, is it a good idea to put a thin carpet on the walls , you know , like in a office or something and on that put the acustic sponges? or just leave the walls clean and on tham put the acustic sponges
whats better?
and now to the second qustion,
hows better to plan the studio, i mean wehre better to put the table and the monitors and all the working area
i tought about 2 options..

becous of the location of the window and the door, need to find a better way to put all the stuff cuz for exaple i cant put acustic spunge on the windo etc etc.
also the door is opens to inside the room, so its imposible to put an "corner" acustic spunge.

gr8!!! tnx , you think i dont need to put in the corners spunges on the wall facing the monitors>?
also what should i do about the ceiling?
about the acustic, i though to order from yoram lev, lev solution

but its seems not reasonable to send drawing of my room and he will send me by mail the sponges, for that kind of money he ask for i expect the man to come to the studio to see and hear and than do the work
some one know more places that do that kind of stuff?

i tought about 1.25? so it will be almos of the level of the head when the person is sitting

hi, i think the better way to do this, is to get a professional person to make a good studio, it isnt easy to do it, you nee a lot of stuff to make a perfect sealed room,and also the acoustic way, so you dont get any sound be canceled by wrong calculations. The beast place to do it it is on a farm(no city noise, only the cow and some chikens screaming) you will use less materials to sealed that on a city, but iff you cant, doesnt metter, try your way, but my advice is to a professional studio arquitet...... |

I think u should place the monitor to make the tweeters at the same level as your ears. That´s Collin advice for me...
