a few days back, i tried to access the forum and it gave me a strange message :
"Not able to connect to database" (i don't remember the exact message)-- was this a scheduled downtime? (if so every1 except me knows about this since i see no posts about this  )
if so, where do i get info on scheduled downtimes?

Yep, last week, there was scheduling downtime.
We are working with our provider to get this kind of infos for you.
