Do you use the ESI? Coz, I dont know why, but i don't much like the idea of ESI speakers. They're too small too.5"           Bring yourselves into the light

Ok man...I trust Fostex anywayz, them guys make speakers for along time, and some older models i've listened to were pretty tight...           Bring yourselves into the light

@ sy000321 i haven't read good stuff abt d alesis...any monitor will do u just have to get used to em until u know how to get a good mix from them...the mackies r excellent but other_reality asked for low budget monitors...i spent months researching the perfect budget monitors n these two seem to b d best choice under $400
@ toxical here's d link:

i think u get charged $150ish for delivery worldwide but even then they're still cheaper than d israel price!

i would go cheaper than alesis or mackies offer           roll a joint or STFU :)

for me the best 5 inch monitors are definately the m-audio bx 5 they are 10 times better then the bx8 and much much better thn the fostex(not bad though)or choose the yamaha msp5 very good monitors after those 3 is hell

but better spend more then 800euro for monitoring or else you will spend 1400euro cos you will bie cheap in the begining and then expensive ones when you be better and it will be something like 1400e or even more then that.

The truth is that i've heard many nice words for the M-Audio's, but I think the same with psychosomatic. Experience in the field counts a lot. Hey psychosomatic, is it true that the KRK's tend to "colour" the low end? Have you heard them? (And ofcourse u need a good soundcard we're talking 'bout monitors)

i've heard the krk rokit 5 & 6..my friend has a pair of rokit 5's n u'd b surprised by the low end its pretty decent for their size..the thing i like abt the krk is they let u hear into the mix very easily so u can identify invidual sounds..they've also been recommended in a review on www.soundonsound.com           http://www.soundcloud.com/getafixmusic

dont get uppset people the 5 inch m-audios bx 5 are better then the fostex in all fields specialy the dance it has very good clarity and you can make good mixes on them not that you cant with the fostex but you will do it better and easier with the bx5.
bx 8 are no good to tight and boomy needs to know the speaker very good to make nice mixes pretty loud though.

for me only samsons are the best in the cheap price range both resolv 65 and 80 are one hell of a good set of speakers dudes very good sound flat and uncoloured and not harsh at all my cheap choice give them a listen if you have good ears you will see imediately what i mean
