Can anyone share his experience, on low budget monitor speakers ? I've listened to a few pairs, and i'm not convinced. Anyone heard of the Alesis M1 or M2 ? Any suggestions on low cost and efficient monitors would help.

Alesis M1 don't have good low end...
I would suggest for the same price u get either:
KRK Rokit Powered 6 $399
Fostex PM1 $350
i bought d fostex coz i read some really good reviews recommending them...KRK 6 r also really good...

try to check the Yamaha monitors...
if you are not into "botik" compenies (such as Tannuy etc'), then yamaha dont cost much and they do the job.

alesis have pretty good low end
try mackie HRs (either 6.5" like alesis mk2, or 8")

they cost 1000 $ in MAROM and iom talking about 6 inch.. and i did checked the prices..
and also.. they catch u for sure on tax?

hmm yeah i don't know how import duties work in israel...maybe there's a way round it? wt if u have d monitors mailed to someone u know in d states...n then they fedex em to u?
