The British government has received thousands of UFO reports over the decades, and Thursday it released the largest amount of documents ever concerning UFO sightings.

The documents, made available online via PDF by the Ministry of Defence and The National Archives, included 6,000 pages from 1994 to 2000.

What I want to know is if the UK Ministry of Defense can release its files to the public, if Mexico can do the same, if many other countries can do the same, why can't the USA? We try to be a world leader in all sorts of other ways, so why aren't we leading the UFO information disclosure?
