Personally i would love partying in bristol rather than london.

I find london parties too commercialised and too restricted in the sense of freedom and doin what u want to do !..... trance in london has become a party for the rich and elegant, rather than focusing on sharing brotherly friendship, love, peace and unity !........sometimes i find the people a bit rude, and sometimes quite rude

bristol, though quite calm has a beautiful respect to its own culture. I find real trance lovers there, and the parties in bristol call for freedom. Small but filled with grace, joy and love !........i could feel it in the last two parties i went .....that was for the frog's (Miraculax) and Subatomic's (HuxFlux)...really had a wonderful time.

People in bristol are really friendly, free and welcoming......as compared to london crowd !

i think parties should be organised and all people should go to all parties, but not only for the sake of music, but also to share the hidden love and peace with other fellow strangers........every participant should express himslf/herslf freely........let the music control ur mind and not the devil !! Just go and hug everyone........SMILE !! and be happy ! spread joy and grace.......i am not there to kill u.....but to hug u by grace !

hey londonites no hard feelings please !

Peace and love

Willinus, Yes i do think that London is commercial (its the Capital of the UK).

However, if you are refering to the VERY BUSY Astral Phoenix party on Saturday (which was your last London party) then i'm kinda confused as it had the Friendliest & happiest crowd i have seen for years (and IMO a beautiful escape from London!!!).

I saw it with my eyes, i felt it with my heart, and everyone i know has said the same...

Oh well, have fun in bristol, you will be missed...

i dunno willinus... sometimes i think the same thing... but not at the moment....

I really really enjoy going to parties in bristol like you.... been there 3 times in the last months... and was blown away by how friendly the crowd was (See earlier posts by me tom and asi hehe!)

But the people have always been friendly to me in London too.... (but I dont _usually_ go around hugging everyone... those days have gone hehe....)

Hmmmm thinking about it.... maybe it is the difference between small/big parties rather than bristol/london? I dunno.... with small parties you end up meeting everyone which is fun, but the music is (often) not as good. The London scene does possess an element of pretention as well... it is true.

Also:

did you try going to parties in Brighton like 180 degrees and enzyme? I am planning on popping down there... maybe soon! The parties there are also supposed to be very friendly... and they are small parties.

For my part: I like _all_ parties... except that tryptomine squat party i went to with asi where they through rocks through the windows. That was not so hot.

I think the difference between London and out of town events holds true regardless of the style of music for a whole host of reasons. There are pros & cons in each sort of event...

London parties can attract lots of people and get big names just doing one offs - but very few people you ever meet come from London and most are often living there just for a short period -so you don't get the same connection that you might do in a place where everyone knows everyone else (not that London is always unfriendly - but not in the same way when you know everyone). A South African friend who used to come up to Zogg regularly decided to coem to Sheffield for her 21st as she reckoned she could go out in London with 15 mates to the Fridge or Rex and not know anyone else or come up to Sheffield and recognise half the club as you do when everyone goes to the same palce every month.

Then again I often quite like that feeling of meeting people you know you'll never meet again and just emercing (if I've spelt that right!) in that big event atmosphere and wondering off... And of course out of London parties can very rarely afford the big names that a party pulling thousands can...

But its horses for course (as the old cliche goes). Personally i love London to visit every couple of months - but couldn't cope with living there!

hey ! i don't intend here to bring in some hurts anywhere...............i love all the parties.........both in london and bristol r good !........but there r some differences in both !

maybe as JON said it right....since being a small party u end up meeting the same people again and again !......

( hey mike......please no hurt feelings for any of my opinions. Its great to know that atleast someone has the courage and talent to organise such an extraordinarly great event !! else we could have never seen anything like this)

But i would definetly wait eagerly for the nature parties to come in this summer !.......i love the weather in england...its great for an outdoor event!!

I am with you on that Willinus..... every time i go to a party like the after party on saturday or the party in essex the other week and get a _small taste_ of dancing outside I start going crazy thinking the summer is here!

Actually I wasnt the only one... saturday morning several of my friends started coming up with all this stuff about 'togetherness' and 'community' and 'nature' and such like. I didnt mind though (even though i'm a bit cynical sometimes) cos the sun was, indeed, shining

Trance parties are cool wherever they are. I like going to as many as IO can and the most unfortunate thing at the moment is there are good parties in London AND Bristol on the same nights over the next few weeks. It all boils down to transport costs (£40 for a train ticket to Bristol) and timing
