Is there any possible way of taking all the single tracks in my mix of this song that I'm making and raising them by the same percentage?

My output is low on the mix. Do I just have to remix the whole thing? There must be something.

Could I just normalize? I know it doesn't ruin the dynamic range like limiting, but what would work best?

I don't want to just limit it all the way up.           www.musicproductionnatural.com || www.facebook.com/djamoeba | facebook page

Export the whole track at 32-bit float and then normalise

You can also raise the master fader, or link all the tracks in the mixer and raise one of them by the appropriate amount, but this is problematical if you have MIDI and maybe group tracks in there as well as you want to leave these strictly alone.           Mastering - http://mastering.OOOD.net :: www.is.gd/mastering

id usualy link the channels i want and raise them together.. very simple and fast.
for weird reason i dont like to ever touch master fader... but in the end in 1 out of 10 tracks i really have to just do it either + or -...           www.sattelbattle.com

32bit normalise is the way to go, although i do hate normalising but 32bit float files allow for this with no apparent issues. And Cubase is 32bit native so u can push the files real hard when u convert them.

A quite mix can always be boosted as long as you dont have too much background noise from example Preamps and other noisy things...

if that is the case you are better of with remixing it or get a more quite preamp, or EQ out some noise...

This 32bit sounds nice but i never got my head around it.. how come you can raise levels more than usual? can anyone point me to some info on this

cheers

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Floating_point

Basically, with 32-bit float audio you get full 24-bit dynamic range at any relative volume level. This means that signals as quiet as just one bit of a 24-bit file can be represented with full 24-bit precision and 140dB dynamic range. This means that it is possible to normalise even extremely quiet signals without increasing quantisation noise. A 32-bit float audio file can also contain levels over 0dBFS since it has (I think) about 1500dB of headroom above 0dB.           Mastering - http://mastering.OOOD.net :: www.is.gd/mastering

also there is a possibility to group channels in Cubase mixer and raise or turn down all faders simultaneously.

I'm not sure if i'm in the right thread but I think I have the same problam.
Every time I export a track to wav or mp3 from cubase
its volume is very low. Ofcourse I want to raise it. Is my solution
is to exprot as 32-Bit float? and how do I do that?
If not wats my solution.
Thanx....           Now say the magic words: Bleep Bleep Deep Deep Wham.....
