not sure about all the details cause i was at a wedding that night, but i heard there were a couple of arrests, some summons and someone got mugged at gunpoint on the way back from there. i cant say i like that spot much, ive only been there a couple of times in my life and didnt like the area. i hope they find a diffrent more safer spot then that one. (please keep it annonymous regradless )           "On the other hand, you have different fingers."

from what i know, the plan was to have a full weekend party going friday night, saturday day and saturday night.

friday went off (relatively) smoothly, but when people came back on saturday the cops were there waiting.

dunno about summonses, but heard some people got tickets.

friday night though, was quite the boom !!!

some great dark stuff from brandon and lauryn, really twisted the cells before letting the hair down .. morning was ridiculously beautiful under the bridge, with the arch ..

but night's stomping lead to day's puzzled looks, and home called ..

sorry to hear abt cops/robbers - hope nothing too serious ... dont know if i could do this spot again .. it seemed a lot of things just came together to make friday night waht it was .. .truly reminiscent of some unknown little gathering a few steps up the hills from a beach in goa ...           paagal power ..

HERE IS WHY THE BRIDGE PARTY GOT BUSTED

The problem with the bridge party was that this party was at a different location than the one tradtionaly used by for psytrance parties.
The organizers moved the location from the "safe" location that people had been throwing parties at for years, to another location underneath another bridge about 200 meters away.
The New location was a bad choice, because it was underneath a bridge that pedestrians and slower moving traffic used, versus the old location which was a highway bridge.
The new location was a bad choice because you could hear the music near the edge of the park, and you had a big bonfire going. The old location was better situated, because the sound was directed away from the road, and it was much easier to clean up after a party.
Also, the new location sucked because there was no grassy area like the old location. The old location had a nice big clearing, while the old location was to much in the forest and there was no clean line of sight for the whole party, so people ended up wandering in the brush near the edge of the party, and making a huge mess in the woods.

- My suggestion is this:
1. Use the old location, it is much safer.
2. don't have open fires in a city park underneath a major over pass.
3. Don't have a party for more than 24 hours.

@pisces

totally agree. i would amend your last point to 12 hours, i think midnight to noon is plenty of time to get your stomp on under the bridge (or in the forest, or in the desert, or any non-secure location).

yeah the middle of NYC isnt the place to be throwing a mini "festival"

was it to be friday thru sunday non-stop or just a party friday night into saturday morning and then another saturday night to sunday morning?

maybe for you, but for me 12 hours is enough to get me warmed up. This has nothing to do with how long the party lasted, everything would have been fine had the usual location been used. I had a great time saturday morning-evening(got there in the morning), and its really sad that things turned out the way it did.           We are all visitors to this time, this place. We are just passing through. Our purpose here is to observe, to learn, to grow, to love... and then we return home.

sounds like it could have been wicked if thrown at a better location.

I talked with some of the organizers. It turns out no one got arrested. A couple of people were iniatially handcuffed, but they were let go with tickets for open containers.           "They who would give up an essential liberty for temporary security, deserve neither liberty or security"
