i was wondering if anyone could help me with getting this type of sound that is used in breaks. now i've got to try and explain wot i mean... here goes... anyone know that kinda swooping sound that is commonly used on a break and then goes straight into the next bar say. i'm not really sure if its the bass or kick that does it? Hope that made sense cheers people!

Bounce down your kick and bass to audio, insert a filter plugin on the audio channel and automate it, simple as!           http://www.soundcloud.com/getafixmusic

You might mean taking pink noise, and automating a sweep of a band pass filter over it which sounds like air whooshing.

Or you might mean a reversed kick which meets up with the next kick in the next bar.

Or you might mean a reversed Crash Cymbal or snare.

Or a reversed anything else really.

Yes, or if you're using Battery there is a reverse button.
