Can you guys share your experience of sample cds with breaks? Looking for some nice breakbeats and stuff like that, any favourites?

I bought Firestorm and EZ-rollers. Good stuff if your looking for the classic breaks like the amen brothers and so on. As i use Ableton i prefer the break cds that includes the REX2-format.

Chemical Beats for breakbeats. Jungle Warfare series for drum n bass. You're gonna need recycle 2 and a sampler that imports them rex files obviously.
Other than that sampling records is what most people do (or used to as its all CDs now) in breakbeat.
The common answer on breakbeat forums about finding good breakbeats is, "sample teh Plumps!" (meaning sample the intro from Plump DJs records where the beats are on their own).
Peace out. |

Are you on Logic 8? If you are you already have thousands of those loops in your fantastic drums library. If you are on the PC...tough luck
