Surgoen, use fruityloops to CREATE those loops. im pretty sure FL has sounds which can be used for loop creation (otherwise it'd be Just Fruity. instead of fruityloops).

Yo ,
u can use the classic way for making good breaks :
Take any drum loop with the sounds you lookin' for,
cut it to small parts in "ReCycle" ,
upload it to your sampler and save the recycle's
midi file on your hardisk.
Open the midi file in your sequencer ,set the bpm ,
and now you can reArrange the drums insideuot layering with VELOCITY crossfades .
As a sound source better to use some drumloops from sample cd's or some accoustic ones , if u need quality .
Peace. |

Try to sample out some old "James Brown" drums from vinyls , and u can arrange the sound on the cubase grid in your way to make totaly new loops out of it. |

Yea, James Brown's break beats, i think that James Browns samples are way over sampled dude. Try lookin' for the oldie Jazz albums, or even some old Israely vinyls from the 60's Israely rock groups, you can find some intersting sounds there. Originality is the key!

Jason i think it's not the one, the real link is http://www.brambos.com and the proggie called Tuareg. My mistake. Hammerhead is the older programm by Bram Bos.

the tuareg is not an easy tool to work with
the HH is very good for making Breakbeats. it was my first instrument.

I know many people won't agree, but if you have a decent sample library, Impulse Tracker is definately the king of percussion. Very easy to control everything and improvise a lot.
