Hi there people....
anybody here can tell me how many BPMs have, in general, a killer sound? like eskimo-the scorpion.... and other killer musics?

the BPM doesnt make the soudn killer. its just the pace at which the sound is going to be. For example Tempo in any sequencer. |

Personally I find anything faster than 145 to be a bit too fast to get the right feel. I can always speed up my final mix in winamp or on my CDJs but I (personally) keep my stuff around 145 or 140. A lot of songs are right there as well, only DnB seems to have a faster BPM but there it is all cut time.

yep. keep the bpm between 130-145. the bpm ain't truely the thing that makes song powerfull. usually too fast bpm ruins the song because then it lack space for sounds due to too fast tempo |

135-145, faster than that I can't handle it to fast for me, but I've already heard that some people go as high as 155 (not my cup of tea)

well personally i love 148 for an up-tempo goa style thing... then again ppl have told me my tracks are too fast :/
some old stuff like green nuns is more like 160... but ... i agree, most modern psy is something like 135-145, mostly likely centred around the low 140s

140-145 for a full-on pace ... but again if u r keeping tht BPM, the sounds that u use have to really be in synergy with the groove. more that a bpm, its also a hihat, snare and kick pattern with innovative breaks that makes it killer. else even at a good 140 or 145, ur track might just sound nonsense with bad mixes ...
peace and fullon!

I say go for which Bpm you want...
for me in psy i keep in the range of 128-148, it all depends on what im doing...
but you will see psy tunes in the ranges of 120 - 160bpm it all depends how much energy you are keeping in your body! =)
try different bpm and experiment
i need to experiment with lots of stuff to keep evolving =) it´s all fun!! |
