Does anyone know if there's a BPM archive on the web?
I know all the tools for detecting (Mixmiester and etc...)
But if I dont have the original version and only have the acapella...

I take the opportunity of this thread to ask something I've never dared to ask : What's an accapela (in electronic music) ? |

Dude, I admire you courage !
I remember a time when I didn't know what does Acapella mean and didnt have the guts to ask it out loud!
So:
When artist record a song with vocals it is always done seperatly. The music is created and recorded in one channel - lets call him channel 1 (it is probebly more then only 1 channel but just for the explenation we'll say 1 channel), and the vocals are being recorded on another different channel - lets call him channel 2.
When the song is done there are 3 versions:
1. Full song - Melody & Vocals (Channels 1+2)
2. Melody alone (Channel 1)
3. Vocals alone (Channel 2)
The 1st one goes to the Vinyl/CD/Radio...
The 2nd is usually being used only by the artist
The 3rd one is The "Acapella" of the song and can be used to create a REMIX or whatever...
