melodyne bridge is pretty good in finding the tune (audio to midi), i also found out that the build in analyser of Cubase is not good. traktor can do the bpm check but its also easy in cubase (assumed the bpm is a whole number) just change the project bpm and see at what bpm the beats land on 1,2,3,4

The tool I use most to figure out the BPM of a sample is the scissors.
