Boys Noize is Hamburg's Alex Ridha, who rose to prominence with bootleg remixes for Bloc Party and Kaiser Chiefs, but has continued with some electronic rock'n'roll of his own. He certainly knows how to put the oi! into noize, and this debut lives up to its lairy title. The thrilling & Down has a refrain of "Dance, dance, dance", which sounds more of an order than an invitation when backed by heavy metal synths. Vergiftet is a disco-pulsed ray-gun fight, and most of the album follows this tumultuous path.
