hi Guys, hope life is treating you all well.......

can somebody tell me how i can bounce individual instruments in logic 6????ive created an "output 1-2" track and i try to solo the instrument i want to bounce and then press bounce and add but all i get is the whole file bounced and on top of that i dont see the added file in the audio tracks (isnt that what is supposed to be happenning?) .....i ve also tried muting all the instr i dont want and only keep the one i want but still nothing....just the whole file together....and its obvious from the file size which is the same all the time......
can you suggest a solution this is driving me nuts as i want to masterize my tracks.....
can you also tell me what frequencies should go together for in the individual files (bass+ kick?????)....???and 1 more question....should all the track be audio tracks at the end for better quality or is it just a myth???
Thanx a lot guys...hope i wasnt tiring.....
peace,
mike

about the audio tracks in the end - yes it's ur myth.

about this weird problem, try setting output 3-4 or others for this individual instrument if ur soundcard supports it.

There should be no problem in the solo to bounce - you are soloing with the transport window and not in the enviroment mixer right?

Why do u need to bounce and add if you have freeze in Lap 6 - I think it'll be much nicer.

About the soloing of the track, try also soloing with the lock (you get a black key shape on top of the yellow light for solo in the transport box)For pc to solo with lock just double click on the solo button in the transport

Nec about the frequencies i was asking if i should bounce lets say the kick with the bass together or i dont know what for better results or everything by itself so we have only audio tracks at the end.....Should we have only audio tracks at the end??Didnt get that......
Trip if its myth why do we bounce files then for final processing and we dont just leave them as intruments.....sorry im a beginner...heheheh......please explain me if you can your comment about the freeze function,,,,,

We bounce to audio because it takes less CPU processing than leaving it in 'real time'.

freeze is like bouncing an audio track leaving on the instrument channel -           Crackling universes dive into their own neverending crackle...
