I've seen an effect rack Boss Sx700 at approximatly 100 euros...
Do you think it could fit to make oldschool psy/goa ... ?
(ps : i'm really into hallucinogen type stuff)
Have you other recommandations ?
Thks for your help !

If you have external synths most effect rack can be nice I guess.
I don't think alot of people have experience with external effects so i'd recommend to google!

i have the sx-700.
if you think you can use it to create "simon posford" sounds then forget it it's a good, basic multi-effect with delay, reverb, eq, modulation and rss (roland sound space, a so called "3d" effect). you can combine them all and tweak parameters. delay is good, modulation and reverb ok, eq and rss i haven't used so much. i think you can get a more decent reverb from high quality plug-ins or more expensive hardware like lexicon mpx1 or dedicated reverb efx. all in all i think you can do the stuff with plug-ins what you would be doing with the sx-700. i keep it cause it's not worth selling anymore
if you want "simon posford" sounds then prepare to save up a little bit more and buy one of these:

here's a demo:

sounds familiar, eh?
...and ofcourse a clavia nord lead 2 synth!
