I don't so sure about the comfort but I sure that in the Zamir we see special artists that didn't were here ever or were in Isreal before long long time.

if i was gonna make a party, i would organize it with another girl (cause girls r the best organizers) and it would be a hat party (w/ lots of security guys) and it wouldn't have any printed invitations or bulk sms's. and it would have all sorts of non-fullon music (electronic, tech trance, breakbeat, finnish trance, goa). and i'd give out moist towelettes in the morning cause i'm magevet :P and i'd invite a bunch of ppl who aren't from the trance scene at all. wouldn't that be cool?
well, maybe some day...

Well people , the scene in Isreal gonna change on this winter...
There are two lines ( one in the Zamir and the second in Comfort 13 ) that will bring us quality & diffrent artists ! just wait and see . . .
It is gonna be hot winter and not bornig for sure

Hot for you, very boring for a few of us.
Same old recycled line-ups in these 2 winter lines. Nothing changing here.

Hehehe Nomolos. What if I told you that money wouldn't be lost and much people would show up?           Majority is never right!

Well, here is the opinion of a french guy that had been staying here for 2 mothes now ... :

I don t wanna sound too harsh, but i can really say that i am more than disappointed about the trance scene here !!!

I had been already frightened by what i saw in India, but i told to myself : here are only stupid guys that are just gettin out of the army and think they are men because they just gone out of it, so that might be an excuse for their stupid behaviours and for the fact that they all take themselves for DJ and artists ... Parties organized by Israelis were so weaaaak over there, that one could not even call it parties !!!!
But this was just a digression for the introduction, now let s get back to Israel scene

If i had to tell my deep feeling, i would also say that it sucks though it s not as stinky as in India ...
Parties are so weak over here from what i have seen that i dont even expect anythin else good now ...
(Excepted maybe for tonite hopefully .... to the one concerned)
Let me explain my vision of the Israeli scene :

Here trance seems to only mean business ...
Where is the supposed so call "spirit" ??
Has it completely disappeared ??
When someone makes a party over here, it seems to be only for business reasons...
What does it mean to pay no less than 70 shk (presale !!!!) to enter a small party and then pay no less than 25 shk for a beer ???
I mean i would gladly pay if the party were worth it (nice sound system, nice deco, nice music, ...) but i haven t been in any party where at least 2 of the precedents items were there !!!!

Deco is so poor most of the time ...

Sound system are more than often so so (one know that a sound system is not only to have speakers, but good speakers with adequate settings, ...)

Music ... i'd better not tell you my opinion about it but i think it s better not to keep it for myself :
Most of the time full on, full on and full on ... (and i didn't said shitty stinky full-on but i think you got me....)
I am not even talking about arsim parties like drug less festival or such events !!!

Moreover, DJ here are technically so weak that it s allmost frightening !!!
The best Dj i ve seen in israel until now (technically speaking) is Artifakt, but he is south african !!!
Seroxat plays the best tunes and is ok but far from being really high skilled (but i liked the set i heard).
All the others i ve seen should just go back home and train before playin in parties. I ve been so disapointed by most of them ... but i won t tell any names here
I am myself a Dj and i am myself composing music (at least trying ) and i know a lot of people in the trance scene in France. Well i can tell you that the average level is really higher and this not only in France but in Europe too.

By the way, though i am not so famous, i posted here 2 mothes ago and was willing to play in any nice little party, even for FREE !! (Because music is my passion, because i still trust in its power and because i would have like to make people dance on a french style set...)
Only 2 ppl contact me so far and i still didn t play anywhere...
It sounds weird when i think that so many people are looking for foreign DJ

I was also looking to meet Israeli artists to share projects and compose music... i came here with a part of my studio, and all the people i have met have such a big ego here !!!
It s fucking depressive to see that someone which has become famous a little bit can behave so stupidely. It s not because you are a DJ or a composer that you are a fucking god !!!
Most of the Israeli artists have such a bad reputation all around the world
One more time i could give a lot of names, but i think it s unfair to say those names on the forum.
However i will tell you that this year in BooM festival one israeli was behaving really like shit though he is very young and though his prestation was really so-so...
Last year in Spain one of the most famous israeli DJ got booed and whistled by the public and get in troubles with the organizing team cause he was also behaving like a fucking star and was demanding amasing thing (one who like elctric guitar...)
And so on, i could also give you many other examples coming from very close friends that live abroad (USA, India, ...)

If i tell you all that, it s surely not because i don't like israel, but because i like it and that i would like to see things change...

The trance scene is infected here... (no bad play on words )
Did you hear about the compilation called "psychedelic tunning" ????
I think it s a real sign of the dicease of trance music here...
What will be next ? "Psychedelic tunning 2, the return of the arsim power", starring all the so called "best" israeli artists like Melicia, Skazi, Astrix and others ???
Let me simply laugh about it !!!! (but we should all be afraid of it)
Infected mushroom plays in party for Coca-Cola, .... where is that leading to ???
Though i dont like those artists they still represent a part of the trance scene and for sure the most famous part. What an image they give of the trance !!!

I am really sorry to tell you that cause i really like Israel, but really if you like trance, you should get involved in it and do something for the music, for the parties, for everything !!!!

I think i could write a lot more on the subject, but basically i thik you got ;y point of view.

I wish you all the best for the upcoming parties, i know that some people are really invested here in the trance music but i think that they are too few compared to all the others that just wanna make omly profit out of it, like in most of all the countries (like in France also).

Only the Keshet Anan party last week was nice though it i think that for such a small party it was a bit expensive (and the beers were too expensive too).
I d like to know if it is so expensive to make a party here that it justifies such prices ...
But the location was really nice, the sound system was good and some of the music was really nice... thanks to the organization

I would have like also to come to a Doof party, i heard they were among the best in israel but i missed them.... shame on me !

I am still here for at least 2 weeks i guess and i am still ready to meet people, so if you wanna discuss about the subject, just PM me
Anyway i hope that if it s not before i leave, then next time (next year) i ll have the occasion to change my mind on the subject.

I didn't write that post in a mean way, and i hope it didn't shock you... believe me, i really like israel and it s after all ;y second country... I just wanted to tell you the vision i have from what is happening here and that i think many many non israeli share...

I Wish you all the best for trance and life

PS : i don t know how hard it is to make a party in israel and what i wrote is only what i feel from what i ve seen and also from what i read here, so don t judge what i said too hardly please, it s just that things are different in every country and i wouldn t say that the scene in France is really better everywhere. I guess that if i had more connections here i wouldn t say the same things for sure. However if any of you come to south west France, PM me i will gladly bring you to a nice small underground party
Maybe you will love it, but maybe you will also hate it, who knows ? (French ppl dont speak english so much and it really suck for foreigners !!!) Nothin is perfect anywhere but maybe one day it will be !!!
