I don't agree.
I've looked at Duende and Liquid Mix.
UAD has some of the best plug-ins ever made, more choice AND value.. for £500 I can get 5 free plugins and $900 worth of vouchers to choose more.
Liquid Mix runs more instances, which is the only benefit I could see (That and a cool desktop box)

I have already had one person disagree with me
the liquid mix offers 20 classic EQs and 40 compressors.....plus more are available.....also it is not dependant on the pci/pciexpress technology.......so will have a longer compatibility period......the UAD's run out of power pretty quickly.......the liquid mix will offer far more instances......and you get a controller.
The UAD offers a broader scope of plugins......but at a higher cost....look at the extreme pak.........but for EQ and compression the liquid mix is more comprehensive and sounds better.

I'm not trying to dismiss the Liquid mix, I just know which I think I would prefer for my needs.
But I still can't agree on your reasons.
How can it be more comprehensive when it lacks reverb, chorus, distortion, transient designer and enhancer. Why do I need 40 or more compressors?
Compatibility period?
UAD2 is supposedly on the horizon and it will run all the plug-ins on whatever the latest slot is.
I have no idea how useful the controller is. One review said that to emulate the quirks of the original hardware a lot of the knobs, despite being the same controls across the board, change places.
"Sounds better".. own both do you?
