For those who think there is not enough noise at Boom Festival, we are planning to have our own English-speaking radio station this year – Boom Radio. Covering 5 km of broadcast radius, the station will feature interviews, talk shows, news, transmitions from Liminal Village talks, DJ mixes and more!
Whether you are bored and frustruated in your car, waiting in line to get into the festival (that can take hours), or simply wondering what is happening in Liminal Village, just tune in to Boom Radio, and get informed about waiting time, parking situation, today’s speakers, last night trip-out stories or listen to a set of a band or DJ that didn’t make it to this year’s line-up.
This project is powered by AuraQuake Records and is going to be a colaboration between different people from the trance scene who are interested in creative ways of presenting radio experince to the Boom festival audience. The project will run as an enthusiasm-based, not-for-profit venture.
The broadcast is planned to start before the opening of the gates of the Boom festival up until the day of the exhodous.

Radio Hosts, Interviewers:
If you are interested to volunteer to host a show or conduct interviews on Boom Radio, please present yourself and describe your proposal to Nikita Tselovalnikov at radioboom@auraquake.com.
We are also looking for a Field Reporter and a Technical support volunteer. It should be a fun project! /p>
Check back here for more developments on the radio front.

First of all, congratulations for this excelent idea...i cant see much more innovative ideas you can make for boom festival!
I just have one question:
As boom has an elevated profit, why is this organisation doing this as "a volunteer work"?I mean, people working in this area will be paid wont they?I can go as a volunteer to Iraq, but i would be paid!
I hope this is how it will work because i dont understand how can boom team ask for volunteer work when the profit of this festival is something colossal..
Please someone enlighten me...

Hello friends
Thank you very much for the feedback.
The Boom Radio is a AuraQuake art project -"This project is powered by AuraQuake Records and is going to be a colaboration between different people from the trance scene who are interested in creative ways of presenting radio experince to the Boom festival audience. The project will run as an enthusiasm-based, not-for-profit venture."
The Boom Team is giving us a huge support to make this project happen.
We had this idea while attending Burning Man Festival last year(http://www.burningman.com/ )
"There are no rules about how one must behave or express oneself at this event (save the rules that serve to protect the health, safety, and experience of the community at large); rather, it is up to each participant to decide how they will contribute and what they will give to this community. The event takes place on an ancient lakebed, known as the playa. By the time the event is completed and the volunteers leave, sometimes nearly a month after the event has ended, there will be no trace of the city that was, for a short time, the most populous town in the entire county. Art is an unavoidable part of this experience, and in fact, is such a part of the experience that Larry Harvey, founder of the Burning Man project, gives a theme to each year, to encourage a common bond to help tie each individual's contribution together in a meaningful way. Participants are encouraged to find a way to help make the theme come alive, whether it is through a large-scale art installation, a theme camp, gifts brought to be given to other individuals, costumes, or any other medium that one comes up with. "Burning Man Website
So this is our offer to the Boom Community and all help to realize this dream is needed and apreciated.
Peace
C
