Not many bugs at Freedom Festival this year or Boom last year that I recall.
Being Australian I always pack mosquito repellant. Not once did I need it. |

Why don´t you never bring the portuguese artist LAB to Boom Festival?!
He is the one with the best quality and mature night sounds nowadays in Portugal, playing many times outside the country but you never gave him credit for that.... instead, other countries do!
That´s a pity and it shows that there is some kind of interest for recruiting portuguese artists to boom
Computer games don't affect kids - I mean, if Pacman affected us as kids, we'd all be running around in darkened rooms, munching magic pills and listening to repetitive electronic music. :D :D |

I understand you, it's must be a honour to get recognition by Boom who's one of the biggest psychedelic gatherings in the world, but no need to hesitate he's time will come. I think Boom always have been good to pick Portugese artists and new and upcomming artists. That's what I love about Boom, they pick both psychedelic pioneers and also gives us the opportunity to hear fresh sounds too!

Hello love tribe
Started at Boom 2006 as a pirate radio, the Boom Radio is launching a new series of author shows:
Kaleidoscopic Sounds.
This will explore how psychedelic culture has been one of the most important socio-artistic movements influencing contemporary music genres. It is a Journey in 9 steps to the heart of psychedelia. The first episode we delve into the vast world of black music (focus on afro-american heritage).
In the episodes that follow, Boom Radio will explore psychedelic incarnations on Jazz, Acid Rock (USA), Acid Rock (Europe), Early Dance (Chicago, NY or Detroit, etc), Early Trance, Psychedelic Africa and Rest of the World (India, Pakistan, Brazil or Japan).
Check it out here

Hello brothers and sisters
It has been absolute pleasure going to music libraries, listening old vinyls and compiling this exciting series of the Boom Radio.
As you know Boom Radio started back in 2006 and after several years of interviews and dj mixes, we felt the need of embodying Boom ethos on education and knowledge to make a new Boom Radio Show.
The new episode of Kaleidoscopic Sounds, a spoken word radio show, keeps our exploration of the impact of psychedelic culture on contemporary music.
From the heliocentric worlds of Sun Ra to the mystical explorations of consciousness by Alice Coltrane, we delve further into the world of psychedelic music with an episode devoted to jazz that brings together heavyweights like Miles Davis and Herbie Hancock, among others.
Track List
Sun Ra – Solar Drums
Sun Ra – Lights on a Satellite
John Coltrane – Sun Star
Alice Coltrane – Hare Krishna
Herbie Hancock – Palm Grease
Herbie Hancock – Bubbles
Miles Davis – Pharaoh’s dance
Dave Pike – Greater kalesh no 48
Ian Carr’s Nucleus – Ariadne
Placebo – Humpty Dumpty
Show is here, hope you like it!

Love from Portugal

I see you booked Kliment for alchemy circle, its a great proggy but you should also hire him a for the dancefloor with his other project Once Upon a Time. What a freakin great album he released this year (Book of Mirrors), a style a bit like Ianuaria. I´m addicted to it

btw, what a great initiative to make Kaleidoscopic Sounds, this 2nd chapter was great. keep on!
