On Boom Wewbsite they say, that u might get no ticket at the gate, since there is a limit.
Are they joking? What is the reason for this?
Thought it´s an open air festival with enough space for everyone...
Does anyone know more...?

I can think of several reasons why there is a limit:
1. licences to have the festival
2. facilities (toilets, water, tent area)
3. mother nature
4. the people's fun - not overcrowding the area.
But I don't think you should worry about it, and I'm almost sure that if you email them in advance at info@boomfestival.org they will be happy to help and save you a ticket.

well, about the transportations 2 there...there is goodtrip....about public services...it seems 2 have few...2 that diretion...and in that hot by walk...non advice!
there are a few supermarkets on that area but not 2 near...
limited entrances....well as karnaf said, 4 instance the bathrooms...well imagine they let everyone in and there is not enough bathrooms 4 all...it would b really bad, don´t u think...?
bathrooms, but there are alot of other stuff that needs 2 be programed before it happens....but i don´t think they will close the door 2 anyone....

The closest supermarket (Ecomarche), is about 6 to8 km from Boom place (more or less). There are few cars in that road, so the only way to get there is a lift from other trancers with car! lol
I don't know if they are planning on any org Bus. If not, they should, but that i don't know...
Also from Boom place to the main road, still a long walk... (if you can, bring a bycicle)
To Monsanto and Castelo Branco, there are normal schedule bus. Not many, but every day! |

well i dunno if is a city, but @ least is a village...
the name of the supermarket is ecomarché...
and it a little bit far way 2 go on walk...cause 6 or 7 km by walk on the hot, hot sun is not that so easy...

thix mornig i wake in a very "good mood" and the sky is very sunny and a lot of hot....can´t wait..can´t wait...
well it seems like i´m a litle kid...
what do u feel in waiting?...normally i don´t get 2 anxious but thix time it hit me in the right way....

I wake up in London, we are having good weather now, so makes it better, but think about 27 days and I start smiling like a child at Christmas!!
We have bought all our equipment - look out for the huuuuge canopy/gazebo with the psychedelivc and tribal hangings on it, and you will find me and a lot of friends.....

I have only a week and a half till i fly to Barcelona and backpack my way to Boom. I don't really afraid of the heat, i spent some good years under the desert sun. Just bring a lot of sunscreen and lip cream. It will be fine.

Does anyone know if there are any cheap hotels/rooms/places to sleep (for those who cannot sleap in a tent) in Idanha-a-Nova or somewhere near the festival area (~10 km)?
