shit man - just looking at the date and got a fucking big shiver knowing that it is not really that far away. Excitement is taking over - I give a shit about nothing else. I hope though for the ticket price there will be loads of lovely females there - he he he - only kidding peeps....for people that have been there before, will there be anywhere to hang my hammock?

MAN, this never-ending discussion is getting so lame... How much do you pay for a beer when you go out? 40 cents? Maybe if go get them at the supermarket...

Money this, money that... what the hell do you people want? Free festival, with free beer, free drugs (how much do you pay for them hum?) free everything...

Its not about free, but about fair!

2 euros for 20cl in a 5 days festival, with 15.000 people buying, ist NOT FAIR!!! Specially in a zone with 40´degrees or more, during the day!

Also, is all about the idea that the org spread about Boom! Comercial festival, they say? hum... don't think so...

COmercial attitudes deserve comercial positions, in terms of advertinsing!

Boom, ohm, peace, plur, share, give, etc, etc... but in the end is only about Buy!

Waht i think is fare! Peoplem who work should be pay! The org should have profit!
But once again, i thibk they could achiebve that with more fair prices!

ok ok ok. we get it. the line-up was a let down. I agree. However, I am still going to Boom. Having never been to Boom before...(or europe for that matter), there's a few things i'd like to know. Any thoughts from Portugese folks or anyone else would be appreciated.

Firstly, would you recommend getting a car. I was thinking of buying a car with my friends when we arrive in Portugal. Are 2nd hand cars cheap over there? Where is the best place to buy one?

Secondly, Is there a good place to swim there?

Thirdly, what is the best day/night of Boom...generally?

Danza,

1. A second hand car can cost between 250 and 750 euros (with 10 years or more, and like old VW polo, Fiat Uno, and others like this). The best place, i don't know, but you can find lots in the newspapper, or you can go to a auto stand and ask, They will know about one to sell... even if its their cousin car! lol

A cer is an execelent idea! Or a motorbike (try to rent it in Castelo Branco, the biggest city around). to the city maybe 6 or 7 km, so to buy things without car its difficult...

Also there's some places around that you shoudn't miss, as the old village of Monsanto! (20km)

2.The place is perfect to swim. Nice clean, warm water. During the day the only chance is to be underwater, due to the outside temperature!

3. that's dificult to say... but as in any festival, the last one is allways special! But i would say the best ones are the week days, because only festival people is there! During the weekend there are some outside visitors looking at the freek show!

@Kabul
Since you are so nice and not hesitating to give some helping answers can you please tell me what’s like the temperatures at the festival site during the night? (At Heredad the Zambujal the temperatures by night were significantly lower than the day one.)
And one more question, again about the temperature, but of the water in the lake BTW, is the lake clean and safe to swim? Anybody fell free to answer:)

I was there camping a month ago, and until 00:00 (more or less), i kept only my shorts! lol

Its warmer than in herdade do Zambujal, because is much more to the interior of Portugal and not so close to the see.

I would say is more or less the same temperature as samothraki, if you were there.

About the water, is very nice and clean! Few people leave around, so it still looks ok!
My litle baby drunk lots & lots of water, lol, and she's fine! so...

In My point of view the only true problemsabout the location is:

To hot & dust during the day!
Few shadows for camping, and the floor is not very plain!

As for the rest, is perfect!
